The breadth and reach of flavours in dark beer styles verges on limitless; coffee, chocolate, berries, chilli, spirits – there could be anything hiding in those murky depths. And if you'd like to plunge into said depths, join Luke Robertson of Ale Of A Time at Otter's Promise for an afternoon exploring the dark stuff.
You'll get to try five different beers, learn about the styles, find out a bit about how they're made and hopefully leave with a better idea about the range of flavours. Above all it's meant to be a fun way to discover something new, interesting, delicious and so well suited to the season.
