It's been quite a few years since Australia Day gave us a long weekend and sibling craft beer pubs, Keg & Brew and The Dog Hotel, are looking to capitalise on.
Both venues are holding joint celebrations across the weekend, starting with the launch of their Australia Day collaboration brew with Australian Brewery, Two to Mango. At 4.5 percent ABV, Two to Mango is a session ale loaded with Galaxy hops and infused with mango and passion fruit. Brewers from Australian Brewery will be along for the launch to throw a brewer's shout along with various giveaways.
On Friday, both venues will be celebrating with with a Tropical Tap Takeover, with the likes of Two Birds' Passion Victim and Stockade Brew Co's Reef Sun Tan Ale, pouring alongside food specials all day.
Saturday the focus will turn to music and Australian beer, with the dual countdowns of both the Triple J Hottest 100 and the GABS Craft Beer Hottest 100 taking centre stage all afternoon.
