Bourbon County Stout Auction for Pink Boots Society

Bourbon County Stout is one of the beers that helped turn Chicago's Goose Island into an iconic American craft brewery and has inspired countless other brewers to launch barrel programs.

Now, with the brewery well on its way to being a global brand after becoming the first of AB InBev's dozens of craft brewery acquisitions, Bourbon County Stout is made on a far larger scale and some of the prized liquid made it to Australia – officially – for the first time last year.

The Australian wing of the global giant has held onto a dozen bottles of the barrel aged imperial stout and is set to auction them off to raise funds for the Pink Boots Society, a not-for-profit operation dedicated to assisting and encouraging women in beer.

They tell us it's the first ever Facebook Live beer auction and you can be a part of it either online here or by heading to Beermash in Collingwood for the auction itself.

It's being hosted by Luke Robertson of Ale Of A Time and Goose Island's Tiffany Waldron, with the auction kicking off at 8.30pm.
