The fifth Good Beer Week – yes, that's right, the fifth already – takes place across Melbourne and Victoria from May 16 to 24.
Now established as one of the world's leading celebrations of great beer, Good Beer Week 2015 features a kaleidoscopic array of beer-centred events taking over the state's best breweries and venues and a few unexpected places.
The 2015 program features 250 events across 180 venues, as well as the Opening Party at the new Festival Hub, Beer DeLuxe in Fed Square, on May 15.
Among the big ticket events are the return of the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular on the closing weekend at the Royal Exhibition Building, the Gala Dinner for the Australian International Beer Awards and the Australian Craft Brewers Conference on May 20 and 21 at MCEC. Time Out Melbourne has also moved its Pub Awards to the Monday night of Good Beer Week.
In terms of Crafty Pint involvement, we're once again overseeing the Pint of Origin. This time, nine great Melbourne venues will be representing the six Australian states, New Zealand, the USA and Europe. Head here for more details and to keep tabs on pop-up events at the venues nearer the time.
