Sip & Savour Sydney

With the Great Australian Beer Festival in Geelong wasting no time establishing itself as one of the best and most colourful in the country, its creators have taking their talents to Sydney.

And they're not messing about either, with the Australian Beer Ambassadors taking over Sydney's iconic Carriageworks for the Sip & Savour festival.

The two-day event of sampling, entertainment and appreciation lands on the closing weekend of Sydney Craft Beer Week and is being run as part of Good Food Month.

It will feature more than 250 beers and ciders - mainly local with a smattering of international brews - as well as a food offering curated by Sydney chef Event organiser Kieran Blood says: "We've got a smorgasbord of award-winning beers! We've challenged ourselves to deliver an event which matches Sydney's love of food with the most creative brewing minds in the country.

"We've selected brewers from all over Australia who are creative and continually exceed consumer's expectations. Brewers who understand the complexities of matching beers with food and use the most innovative and freshest ingredients.

"We also have multi award-winning brewers who handcraft a world-class range of beers expanding from the usual to the deliciously unusual; many having developed cult like followings in their respective States."

Sip & Savour features a program of free masterclasses with brewers joining chefs and cheese-makers over the two days. Look out for the Beer Diva, Professor Pilsner and three former Masterchef contestants hosting the seminars. Carriageworks will also be set up to be family-friendly with activities for kids.

There is also a short film competition, Hop Flicks. Anyone wishing to enter a film about craft beer can do so [here](http://www.sipsavour.com.au/short-film/), with prizes on offer for the best the entries being shown throughout the festival.
