The most colourful of the country's summer outdoor beer festivals returns to Geelong Racecourse in February 2015.
The third Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF) has moved a little later in the calendar and now runs on February 21.
If you've been before, you know what to expect: heaps of beers from all over Australia (although mainly supporting the locals), a dedicated cider area, loads of stalls cooking up gourmet food, roving entertainers, live music, packed out seminars, competitions and cabaret.
If you've not been before, read the paragraph before and ask yourself why.
What's more, there are plans to add to that in 2015.
The organisers say: "Good news spreads fast! More brewers want to come along next year. More brewers means more beers and ciders from which to taste. In fact, we will have more than 200 craft beers and ciders to sip, sample and to indulge in. More free seminars to attend.
"We will use more space around the racecourse, which has recently undergone some nice cosmetic improvements, to include a thirrd stage featuring comedy, cabaret and quirky live acts.
"Just nearby we’re creating a colourful cider garden together with a new international beer house featuring brews from around the world."
Add to that a "carnivale feel" and a ‘best dressed‘ competition with great prizes on offer! They include a ‘best dressed’ workplace / organisation with $1,000 going to a charity of the winner’s choice.
