They might be dressing it up as Halloween, but adding to the big occasion at Bacchus Brewing is that it also happens to be head brewer Ross Kenrick's birthday party. And he's been very, very busy brewing up beers to celebrate.
In what's surely Australia's widest-ranging Halloween-themed beer selection, they'll be pouring:
- Pumpkin Pie Ale
- Smoked Pumpkin Lager
- Pumpkin Pie Porter
- Ruby Slippers Pale Ale
- Bad Blood IPA
- Wicked Witch Black Cider
- Emerald City Kolsch [It's a green Kolsch...]
- Release The Flying Monkeys Barley Wine
- And possibly more......
There'll be fancy dress (the formal invitation suggests Wizard of Oz meets Zombies, though anything Halloween-related will be acceptable) with prizes for the pick of the bunch. A karaoke machine has been arranged so you can belt out ghoulish classics such as The Monster Mash and the theme from Ghostbusters to your heart's content, while a mobile pizza oven will be on hand too, cooking up Halloween-themed pizzas and any witches that require outwitting.
This is an all day affair, so just show up when you need a Halloween fix. And don't forget to say happy birthday to Ross...
