If the recent hoopla surrounding Stone Brewing's Enjoy By IPA got you thirsty for fresh stuff from the San Diego brewery, there's some very good news just over the horizon: Head Brewer Mitch Steele is heading Down Under for a few events and is bringing with him a handful of Stone brews.
Melbourne beer lovers will get their chance to get try them on Friday 13th February when Forester's Hall taps the Stone IPA, Sublimely Self Righteous (Black IPA), Arrogant Bastard (Strong Ale), Go To IPA (Session IPA) and Delicious (IPA) - all of which have been airfreighted in cold for the occasion.
Now, for the finer details...
There's a VIP beer education and tasting session with Mitch from 6:30pm until 8pm. This is $50 and includes conversation with Mitch, samples of the five beers, a limited edition Stone/Forester's glass to take home and some merch to purchase. Book your spot here or over the bar.
Following that, between 8pm and 10pm, you can just grab a tasting pass for $25 which has one of each of the beers.
And following that, from 10pm it's open season to the general public to purchase pots of whatever they like. Appropriately, there'll be plenty of North American rock music and Californian food (think tacos and pizza), so why not make a night of it.
