It's been a year since the Blackrock Brasserie and its Blackhorse Brewhouse brought small batch beer to the Sutherland Shire and to celebrate the fact, they're having a party.
On Thursday 9 April they're hosting an evening that will give you a a taste of everything that's good about their venue, with new beers, a special beer-based menu, brewery tours, blind tastings ad live music.
Alongside their regular range and recently released Autumn Ale, new brewer Gerard Meares has created three new beers which will get launched on the night:
- Light Horse - a mid-strength reboot of the Blackhorse Kolsch
- A Cascade hopped California Common
- New World pale ale with Dr Rudi, Pacifica and Motueka hops
The latter is unnamed and there'll be a competition on the evening to do so.
There'll be a special six course canape menu on for the night, all of which will have been made with beer as an ingredient:
- Beer-fried popcorn chicken with chipotle mayo
- Aussie Ale ginger glazed salmon brochette
- Red ale braised short rib sliders w/ beer cheese sauce
- Beer braised pork rib tacos
- Stout meatballs w/ BBQ glaze
- Chocolate and stout brownies
Tickets are $30 which gets you a beer on arrival and the six canapes. Book your spot by phoning the venue on 9522 5558 or emailing info@blackrockbrasserie.com.au
