Good Beer Wheaty 2015

Adelaide's very own Good Beer Week spin-off returns to The Wheaty in May with another epic lineup of brewing talent and innovative events for your delectation.

At the last festival, in May 2014, the ladies at The Wheaty christened their very own brewery too, which meant the options for fun times increased even further.

For those new to Good Beer Wheaty, it was spawned over several beer-fuelled conversations with Stu & Sam from the Yeastie Boys at the very first Good Beer Week in 2011 that led to a plan to hold a Yeastie Boys concept tasting at The Wheaty. Then, several months later when the 'Boys invited themselves to the pub, they built build a whole mini-beer-fest around their visit.

It was a collection of beer events of the kind The Wheaty already hosts – but over a concentrated period and with some very special bells and whistles – and each year it has grown and grown.

This year, they've enlisted another clutch of "extraordinary collaborators" to brew with:

Says Jade, from The Wheaty: "Come Winter, we'll all get to sample the fruits of these extraordinary collaborations… And 'spooning' [their term for collaborating] us in spirit – from afar – will be Yeastie Boy Stu, who, due to empire building commitments in Europe can't make it to Thebarton this May. But who promises to return, Yeastier than ever, in 2016…"

Events on the 2015 program, which you can download here, include tap takeovers, meet the brewer sessions, masterclasses, panel discussions and more, with the likes of Young Henrys, Pirate Life, Hopco and more joining in the fun.
