The beachside bar belonging to the Illawarra Brewing Company will be a little bit of America on July 4th as they celebrate Independence Day with all things American.
They recently expanded the bar to have 30 taps and amongst those there will plenty of American-style beers – think pale ale, IPAs, black IPAs, rye ales and red ales – from their own brewery alongside other Aussie micros such as HopDog BeerWorks, Riverside Brewing, Young Henrys and Rocks.
They've also lined up six boilermakers which will pair a handful of local beers, from milk stout to single hop IPAs, with US bourbons and whiskeys.
There'll be an American BBQ to enjoy with the beer while the kitchen will be turning out classics like burgers, wings and dogs. And, in typically gluttonous homage, there'll be hot dog and chilli eating competitions, amongst other suitably American traditions.
Live music will keep things going across three stages throughout the day.
Doors open at 11am and the party will kick on until the wee small hours.
