Gears & Beers: Cycling, Craft Beer and Cider Festival

For a healthy dose of craft beer, cycling and community fun, make plans to be in Wagga Wagga on October 4, 2015 for the second annual running - or rather, riding - of the Gears & Beers Festival.

The idea is to get people of all ages out, about and enjoying a bit more of the regional scenery and generally being fit, active and involved in the community. As such, the organisers have come up with a range of Cycle Challenges to suit riders of every capability, ranging from a gentle 15km course through to a leg-aching 130km on unsealed roads.

And the best part? The finish line is a Craft Beer & Cider Festival featuring several of the very fine breweries which call the surrounding region home, including:

The beer festival / finishing line is the Victory Memorial Gardens in Wagga Wagga and it will be open to the public at large (free if you've done one of the cycle challenges, $5 for everyone else). As well as the brewers who will be there to talk about their wares, you can expect excellent local food, locally roasted coffee and plenty of entertainment.

For more details about the festival, including details of how to register for any of the cycle challenges, head to the official website - www.gearsandbeers.org.au
