It may not be the biggest Oktoberfest in Australia but it's definitely the biggest Oktoberfest event in Woodend.
On Sunday October 11, the team from Holgate Brewhouse will be throwing open the doors to a bier hall outside the brewery for an afternoon of Oktoberfest celebrations.
The kitchen will be putting on classic German food, there'll be an Oompah band, plenty of good times and, of course, beer. There won't be any shortage of appropriately German style beers either with Holgate brewing a fine pilsner and recently adding the Norton lager to their range.
Tickets are $60 which gets you entry to the bier hall, a stein (which is yours to keep) plus its first fill, and a big fresh pretzel to get you going.
Last year's inaugural Oktoberfest sold out in advance so this one probably will too, so snap up your tickets here ASAP.
PS: German-style dress highly encouraged.
