Temple Tap Takeover & Crafty Karma Keg

On October 18, a member of The Crafty Pint family is flying in from Hong Kong to run the Melbourne Marathon.

Tim Marchant will be running his first full marathon to raise money for the Sick Children's Trust, which supports families whose children are receiving treatment at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Among the children currently receiving treatment is Tim's nephew, two-year-old Theo, who is fighting an aggressive form of cancer called Neuroblastoma.

On the eve of the Marathon, we've arranged for a Karma Keg to be poured at the Terminus Hotel in Fitzroy North in support of Tim, Theo and Theo's family.

And, given the international nature of the event – a Brit flying in from his home in Hong Kong to Melbourne to raise money for a London charity – we thought what better beer to pour than the reigning AIBA Best International Pale Ale, Temple Brewing's Anytime IPA.

We discovered after approaching Temple's head brewer Glenn Harrison to ask for a keg that he's going to be at the Terminus for a Temple Tap Takeover that afternoon from 4pm too so come down, meet the Temple team and Crafty clan, and help support a good cause by paying whatever you choose for your beer when the Anytime Karma Keg is tapped at 5pm.

Tap Takeover lineup:

  • Blacklisted dark lager
  • New World Order American stout
  • Power Stance pilsner
  • Rye Hard RIPA
  • Hazy Dayz hefeweizen
  • Bicycle Beer
  • Anytime IPA

Here's hoping the fundraising is better than The Crafty Pint's Photoshopping...
