Ale Stars at Local Taphouse Darlinghurst feat. Doctor's Orders

Fancy taking a trip around the beer world, sipping on some of the finest brews to be found in this fair land, with experts on hand to guide your every step and plenty of good company to keep you entertained?

Why, of course you do!

And that's pretty well what you get with the Ale Stars session at The Local Taphouse in Darlinghurst. With a different theme every month - usually a brewery, country or beer style, the event takes you on a happy, hoppy jaunt around all things beer, complete with food, quizzes and good banter.

Leading the way is Darren 'Doc' Robinson from Doctor's Orders Brewing alongside guests to entertain with stories, expertise and insight and, most importantly, to tell you about the beer you're drinking. And this month, the focus is all on him!

Doc will be guiding you through the weird and wild world from which his recipes originate via four of his unique beers:

  • Serum Rhubarb Gose
  • Anaphylaxis New Zealand Manuka Smoked Black IPA with Chipotle
  • Operation Paralysis originally a Quadruple IPA, now American Barley Wine
  • Defibrillator Bourbon Oak Aged Weizen Doppelbock

You'll do well to find a more interesting handful of beers than that lot.

What will undoubtedly be a fun event is being held on Wednesday February 17 on the middle level. Kickoff is 7:30pm. Tickets are $40 which includes all the beers, nibbles and good times. Book your spot here.
