Cask Ale Day at Flat Rock Brew Cafe

The Flat Rock Brew Cafe is one of the relatively few breweries or brewpubs in Australia that prepares English-style real ale, meaning they take quite a bit of pride in it. So it's with that sense of pride that they're putting on a proper cask ale event and inviting some like-minded cask ale producers along too.

The brewers that have been invited are all from New South Wales:

  • Six String Brewing
  • Badlands Brewery
  • Cupitts
  • New England Brewing

They'll also have their own real ale pouring as well at that of the members of the Flat Rock Brew Club.

They're gunning for the feel of a traditional English Real Ale Festival so it'll feature comfy cask-friendly dishes as well as a wider selection of UK beers from the likes of Moor, Courage, Timothy Taylor and Buxton.

Space will be reasonably limited in the little venue so if you want to guarantee a spot it's probably best to book a table by contacting the cafe on flatrockbrewcafe@iinet.net.au.

First casks will be tapped at 12:30pm.

Need transport?

Dave's Brewery Tours will be running a shuttle bus service which you'll need to prebook in advance:
