Ale Stars at Local Taphouse Darlinghurst feat. Historical Styles

Fancy taking a trip around the beer world, sipping on some of the finest brews to be found in this fair land, with experts on hand to guide your every step and plenty of good company to keep you entertained?

Why, of course you do!

And that's pretty well what you get with the Ale Stars session at The Local Taphouse in Darlinghurst. With a different theme every month - usually a brewery, country or beer style, the event takes you on a happy, hoppy jaunt around all things beer, complete with food, quizzes and good banter.

Leading the way is Darren 'Doc' Robinson from Doctor's Orders Brewing alongside guests to entertain with stories, expertise and insight and, most importantly, to tell you about the beer you're drinking. And the beer you'll be drinking for the March 2016 event is really, really old.

The Ale Stars will be exploring historical styles to give a glimpse into what beer might've been like in centuries gone by. It will feature the following:

  • Anderson Valley Watermelon Gose
  • Stone 'Your Father Smelt of Elderberries' Medieval Ale
  • Shenanigans Grisette
  • Red Duck Baby Bear Braggot

It's bound to be an interesting evening and certainly quite different to your usual night out drinking clean IPAs.

It's happening on Wednesday March 16 on the middle level and it begins at 7:30pm sharp. Tickets are $40 which includes all the beers, nibbles and good times. Book your spot here.
