Having taken over the former home of Matilda Bay in Port Melbourne (where, incidentally, they're currently on the lookout for a brewer), the Colonial Brewery will soon have a larger footprint on both coasts. One place they don’t yet have a big presence though is Sydney, although that's certainly changing and for one night in particular.
On Thursday March 31 they’ll be taking over ten taps at the Royal Albert Hotel to showcase their core range, some limited releases, and some very limited releases:
- Small Ale
- Draught Kölsch
- Wheat
- Pale Ale
- Porter
- Project Beer
- Australian IPA
- Rye IPA
- West Coast American IPA
- The Emergence of Astra Lager (which features the new Victorian grown hop variety Astra)
Taps should be ready to pour around midday but things get serious from around 5pm.
