Ale Stars at Local Taphouse St Kilda feat. Barrow Boys

The monthly Ale Stars evening at The Local Taphouse is one of Australia's most beloved regular beer events. Attracting a mixture of beer lovers, both old and new, it's a fun and interesting way to learn about everyone's favourite beverage.

Based on a different theme every month - usually a brewery, country or beer style - the event takes you on a happy, sometimes hoppy jaunt around the beer world, complete with food, quizzes and plenty of good banter.

Leading the way, you'll have a brewer on hand to entertain with stories, expertise, insight and - most importantly - to tell you about the beer you're drinking.

In June, brewer Ash Hazell will be pushing a barrow of beers onstage to share with you as Ale Stars celebrates Barrow Boys

Having made an unlikely launch into the craft beer world by way of a lager, Barrow Boys has gone on to release beers across a much wider spectrum. On this evening you’ll be able to enjoy several of their short run (and very short run) series:

  • Black Ink Porter
  • Red Sky Wheat
  • Wet Hop Red Bock
  • Amber Ale (firkin, finished in barrel)

A ticket gets you beer, dinner, trivia good times and only costs $40. You can make a booking here.
