GABS Mini Takeovers

With the conclusion of the Aussie legs of the GABS festival, the embargo on the remainder of the festival beers has been lifted. That means there'll potentially be more than 100 almost-new and often unique beers hitting taps at good beer bars across the country over the coming weeks.

Below you'll find a few of the larger ones, and we'll add more as we get the info to hand:

NOLA, Adelaide – May 31 onwards

South Australians can get their GABS fix at NOLA as the bar has 18 festival beers locked away in the cool room. They'll be pulling them out as and when over the coming days so keep an eye on their social media for updates.

Grain Store, Newcastle – June 3

Novocastrians who couldn't make the journey south to the major festivals will get their chance for a taste of some of the best beers when 21 festival beer hits the taps at Grain Store. It starts at 2pm on Friday June 3 and will go for as long as the kegs last.

Union Hotel, Sydney – June 3

The Newtown legends have picked up kegs of 16 of their favourite festival beers and will be pouring them on Friday June 3. Tasting paddles will be on offer between 3pm and 7pm, with jugs available until 11pm.

Local Taphouse, Darlinghurst - June 3

From 6pm the Darlo Taphouse will be pouring 12 of the top 14 beers as voted on the Untapped beer app during the GABS festival.

Local Taphouse, St Kilda - June 10-13

Over the entire Queens Birthday weekend, the St Kilda Taphouse will be showcasing 25 of the the best beers of GABS. It kicks off on Friday and runs through until Monday (or as long as the beers last).

If you've got a GABS takeover happening, email events@craftypint.com and we can add to this list.
