As more and more American beers make it Down Under, 4th of July celebrations seem to get bigger and beer-ier every year. Indeed, the teams at the Local Taphouses in St Kilda and Darlinghurst have deemed that it’s big enough to unfurl their SpecTAPular banner and make a big day of it.
Thus, they will be turning 20 taps over to beers from the US of A. It will feature brews from the likes of Founders Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada, Stone Brewing and Deschutes Brewery.
The kitchens will be serving up a big American-themed menu, there’ll be live music aplenty and you’re encouraged to dress up in your finest stars & stripes (there’ll be prizes for the best of them).
With 4th of July falling on a Monday this year, the USA SpecTAPulars will be happening a little early, on the weekend of July 2-3
Entry will be by gold coin donation, the total of which will be passed on to charity. Doors at each venue open at midday.
