Long Lunch with Moo Brew and Moorilla Wines at The Sackville


What could be better than a beer dinner? How about one featuring both beer and wine?

With that in mind, there will be nowhere better to be on the final day of July than at The Sackville Hotel in Balmain as they host a long lunch starring the beers of Moo Brew alongside wines from their sister producer Moorilla Estate. 

The event itself will be a four course affair focused on showcasing the best of Tasmania, specifically in regards to matching the menu to the various beverages. The Sackville's head chef, Tim Frietas, has lined up a feast covering grilled meat, seafood and vegetables which will alternate with its liquid accompaniments. 

On arrival you'll get to whet your appetite with a Moo Brew Pilsner or Praxis Sparkling Reisling before the rest of the afternoon plays out as follows:

  • Starter: Roasted beetroots, feta, baby watercress with Praxis Sauvignon Blanc
  • Entrée: Salt and pepper bugs, kim chi cucumbers, wasabi mayo with Moo Brew Hefeweizen
  • Main: Grass fed tenderloin and seasonal vegetables with Praxis Pinot Noir
  • Dessert: Chocolate fudge brownie with Moo Brew Dark Ale

Tickets cost just $60pp for all the above and the chef says: "Come hungry!".
