Unless you’re close to a happy bride or groom with a penchant for a brewery as a backdrop, it’s not too often that you get to set foot in the Mountain Goat brewery on a weekend. But on Saturday July 30 they’re taking the chance to roll up the doors and let in the locals, which is to say you and a bunch of other brewers.
There will be three Melbourne brewers in the house; former Goat brewer Craig Eulenstein under his new guise of Fury & Son, the inimitable Frase and Grum from Exit Brewing and the even more inimitable Steve ‘Hendo’ Henderson from BrewCult. They’ll all be given taps at the bar to show off their wares while you wallow in the general goodness of it all. While there you can jump on a brewery tour with one of the brewers and get a glimpse into how it all comes together.
There’ll be food for carnivores and herbivores by way of the Burn City Smokers pop-up grill and vege/vegan/gluten free pizzas respectively.
Tickets are $10 which gets you in and a pint of Goat beer in your hand, plus entry into the draw to win a twin pack of Mountain Goat Barrel Breed Barley Wine – one each of the 2015 and 2016 vintage. Not a bad prize, that.
