There's nothing quite like a nice piece of cheese and a perfectly matched beer to round off a lovely meal. Nothing except, perhaps, spending the better part of a day indulging in all manner of nice cheeses and perfectly matched beers.
That's precisely what's on offer at Two Tall Chefs in Carlton North as they team up with Yarra Valley's Hargreaves Hill for a day of artisan tastings.
You'll be in very capable hands at the home of the cheesemongers while, for company, the brewer will be bringing its freshly brewed maibock, plus the golden ale, ESB, IPA and Abbey Dubbel.
On the day you can get involved in a bit of beer trivia and cross your fingers for a few prizes – including a nod to the classic Aussie tradition in the form of a meat raffle (though this is probably a better one than what your local RSL puts up...).
It's happening from 11am until 4pm.
