With the political scene of 2016 in may ways resembling something more akin to the 1920s and 30s, it would seem appropriate to see out the year in the manner our forebears from the era might've, namely giving it large in a speakeasy and chalking up enough good times to last through the tumultuous year ahead.
Good news, then, as you can do just that thanks to the crew at the Local Taphouse in St Kilda who are putting on a New Years Evening to remember.
You're encouraged to come dressed in your favourite flapper or dapper outfit (there'll be prizes for the best) for prohibition-style shenanigans. There'll be plenty of cocktails and bubbles, with DJ Will dS mixing and matching tunes from the roaring twenties and a few modern takes. On the beer front, the crowd pleasing lineup is as follows:

Tickets are $135 per person, $125 for groups of 5+ or $110 for groups of 10+. The ticket price includes cocktails, beer, wine and canapés.
