One of the best new beers to come from New South Wales last year – at least, according to our panel – was the Akasha Brewing Company's double IPA, Korben D. It is a beer that subscribes firmly to the belief that "fresh is best", so is only released quarterly in order to ensure that when it hits taps it's sought out and snapped up quickly.
The first 2017 edition of Korben D is a bit more special than normal for a couple of reasons. The first is that it's been made with new season US hops, and the second is that they're sending it further afield so more people will get a chance to try it when it ought to be in prime condition for drinking.
So, if you need something big and strong to tide you over between January 19 and 21 (Inauguration Day, for example), head to any of the following venues in four states and territories as they tap their deliveries as soon as they get them:
