Last year's Pirate Life beer dinner at The Empire Hotel was one of the venue's biggest events of the year. In fact, it couldn't get any bigger as the flamboyant dining room was packed to capacity, without a spare seat in sight. In other words it was a total success. So, a year later, they're doing it again.
The 2017 edition will feature seven Pirate Life beers alongside five courses (the pairings are below), with brewer 'Red' Proudfoot making the trip up from SA to be your host and sage on all things great and hoppy.
- Throwback IPA – Welcome drink
- Baby Porter – Blackened salmon bagel with herbed cream cheese, avocado and jalapeños
- IIPA – New Orleans spicy prawns
- Saison – Palate cleanser
- Pale Ale – Mint Chimichurri grilled lamb chop with grilled green onion
- Mosaic IPA – Fried Chicken with beer-candied bacon and creamed corn
- Stout – Caramel and stout panacotta wth sour cherries and vanilla ice cream
