Entries Close for the 2013 Australian International Beer Awards

UPDATE: the date for 2013 Australian International Beer Awards submissions has been extended by one week, from February 15 to Friday February 22nd.
According to the awards organisers at the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria: “With newly appointed Chief Judge Brad Rogers at the helm and an advisory group of passionate industry representatives the 2013 AIBA is looking like the most exciting to date.
“Changes to this year’s competition include the introduction of two new trophies Champion Australian Beer Award and Champion International Beer Award, celebrating the best Australian and International beer in the competition.
“To keep up with a rapidly changing industry the entry eligibility for Champion Brewery trophies has also been split into small, medium and large breweries, increasing the overall trophy count to 19 Best in Class Trophies and nine Champion Trophies.”
Judging will be held in Melbourne over a one week period from April 8 to 13 adding greater continuity to the judging process.
Entry fees: (including GST)
Large Brewery Section: (annual production greater than 25,000hL) AUD $275
Medium Brewery Section: (annual production from 5,001hL up to and including 25,000HL) AUD $245
Small Brewery Section: (annual production up to and including 5,000hL): AUD $155
The AIBA is the pre-eminent showcase of beer and brewing excellence in the Asia Pacific Region, and is established on the international brewing calendar as a renowned barometer of diversity and excellence in beer brewing. Winners will be announced in Melbourne during Good Beer Week on Thursday, May 23.
