Ever since The Crafty Pint launched in September 2010, we’ve been sending out weekly newsletters (almost) every Friday. Designed to wrap up the events of the past week, look ahead to what’s coming up in the craft beer world, run competitions and also as a means of keeping readers up to date with things that might not otherwise find a place on The Crafty Pint website, they have proved to be popular Friday arvo reading to get people in the mood for the weekend. They were even named Best Newsletter in Australia and New Zealand in 2011, but then Beer & Brewer changed the rules so that other beer media weren’t eligible…
We’ve kept them coming as best as possible, whether that’s meant hunting around the countryside for the faintest Wi-Fi connection or sitting up til 4am while visiting family in the UK, with the result being around 50 little time capsules each year that reflect Australia’s rapidly evolving craft beer world. That said, we imagine most people just scroll to the bottom and click on the links to amusing stories and videos from around the world and ignore everything else…
Anyway, with such a huge amount of beery writing and info out there, we decided we should bring them all together in one place. Unfortunately replicating them as they appear in your inbox on the site, with all hyperlinks intact, requires fancy computer stuff that we don’t understand and which is beyond our humble means to finance. Thankfully, we can set up an archive in which there are links to every single one. So we have.
And here it is: a chance to catch up on what you might have missed, a record of the growth of Crafty and craft beer or merely a means to wile away even more time at work.
