We wrote recently about the reinvention of the Aireys Pub as a brewpub, following the opening of Rogue Wave on site. The new venture is bringing in more customers so the owners are looking for an assistant venue manager to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION: BAR MANAGER
The iconic Aireys Pub, home of Rogue Wave Brewing Company, is after a great assistant venue manager / bar manager.
With the installation of the brewery 18 months ago the business is experiencing decent growth. To cater to this growth we are expanding our team to include an assistant venue manager.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes to join the team:
- Experience in a similar role with a genuine passion for the hospitality industry
- Hardworking, honest, and high energy with an exceptional level of customer service
- Initiative, time management and prioritising are imperative
- Extensive bar experience including the ability to lead a service on busy bar
- Ability to consistency manage a team and delegate appropriately
- Able and confident with responsibilities involved with Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Knowledge and interest in beer, wine, cocktail and drink service
- Knowledge and experience in costing, ordering and rostering
- Knowledge of food and the food service process, as well as experience in the customer relations that are involved with food service
- Ability to get to know and be involved in the local community.

Aireys Inlet is a beautiful part of the world with amazing beaches, National Parks and, of course, some of the best surf breaks in the country. The ideal candidate will be in the area or be looking for a sea change.
The assistant venue manager will report through to the venue manager.
