JOB DESCRIPTION: BREWER (NSW)
Modus Operandi is an up-and-coming brewery located on Sydney’s scenic Northern Beaches. We’re a work hard, play hard community of people who have an obsession with brewing and drinking beer!
Modus Operandi is a family owned brewery/hospitality operation with its base of operations in Mona Vale, NSW. We pride ourselves on our handcrafted, award-winning beer and brew a plethora of styles to accommodate our ever expanding thirst for all things unique and interesting.
We are looking for a dynamic human being to join our team as a Brewer. The role requires a hardworking, highly motivated, energetic and creative individual who is ready to take on key roles at our recently expanded brewing and canning facility in Mona Vale. The successful candidate will have the experience and ability to multi-task and juggle duties between the brewhouse, cellar and packaging.
Your demonstrated ability / aptitude will include:
BREWERY OPERATIONS
- Daily brewing, cellaring and packaging operations.
- Quality control, maintenance, inventory, shipping and receiving tasks.
- An unhealthy addiction to cleanliness.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Flexibility in working schedule to help meet our ever-changing demand and expanding facility.
- Recipe development.
- Training and development of new guys and gals.
- Ability to lift 30kg overhead.
- Cleaning.
- Did we mention cleaning? If you’re too important to pick up a floor brush you’re too important to work at Modus.
BRAND ADVOCACY AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Supporting Modus Operandi at public events
- Open mindedness and active contribution in all facets/departments of Modus Operandi. We are stoked about beer and sharing it with the world, you should be too!
EDUCATION
- Formal brewing qualifications will probably give you a leg up.
- Previous professional brewing experience in a IS A MUST!
- Forklift certification required.
