Stomping Ground Is Hiring More Brewery Reps (VIC)

This posting is more than 1 year old

Stomping Ground Brewing Co was launched by the team behind The Local Taphouse and GABS less than two years ago and has grown rapidly since. From its brewpub home, it's been sending beers across Melbourne and further afield – now in cans too – and is looking for more reps to join the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION: BREWERY REPRESENTATIVE (VIC)

GREAT BEER – it's at the core of everything we do. We love great beer. We love making it. We love selling it. We love talking about it. And of course, we love drinking it! Beer beer beer beer.

That's where you come in...

We're looking for passionate overachievers to join our small team and share our love of great beer with our community and beyond. Having launched less than two years ago, Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall, has brought brewing back to its original stomping ground of Collingwood, Melbourne. We expanded quicker than we could have imagined and now, after reaching out to off-premise stockists, following the launch of our third beer in cans, we realised we could do with some more feet on the ground. In a very exciting opportunity we are looking for both an off-premise specialist and all-embracing brand representative.

Some things you'll do:

This role requires you to be out on the road, walking the beat and nurturing relationships with new and potential customers. When you're not doing that you are planning your sales meetings and targets, bumping in/out and attending festivals, coming up with new ideas for beers, and beer events alike, or networking at bar shouts in venues and tastings in bottle shops. You will also host your customers at the brewery, conducting brewery tours and tastings. Ultimately this is a sales driven role , reporting directly to the sales manager as you exceed your sales targets for on and off premise accounts. You'll do all this whilst working closely with our Directors who are as passionate owners-operators as you can get!

Some things you'll be:

You'll need to be able to keep up with the 60+ beers we brew a year. You'll need to be flexible. Flexible with your work hours to attend all the beer events you organise. Flexible in your daily tasks from running staff from a hip Melbourne bar through a brewery tour, to delivering kegs when old mate needs beer on a Friday afternoon. You will be competitive yet charismatic, creative (even in the arts and craft kind of way), resilient and adaptable.

Whilst our brewery hasn't been around for long, we have, and we live and breathe our passion for this industry. We want our company values to be reflected in the opportunities and growth we aim to provide for each employee. To reflect this we are looking for someone who respects equality in everything they do, strives for better sustainability practices, and positively adds to our culture.

We anticipate strong interest in this position. Candidates are required to have experience in a similar role, a proven sales record with new and existing networks, fantastic beer knowledge, and a hunger to make this position their own. The stand out candidate will have the ability to use sales techniques to bring a creative approach to their application and prove to us they have the above skills and attributes.

Salary package is dependent on experience and will be balanced with car, phone, travel and other benefits and allowances.

All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.
