At the inaugural Craft Beer Awards, Sydney's 4 Pines were joint recipients of the Champion Large Australian Craft Brewery, a title they shared with Two Birds. And now they're after a brewer to augment their team.
Job Description: Brewer
4 Pines is a family owned brewery / hospitality operation with its HQ on Sydney's Northern Beaches and facilities in both Manly and Brookvale. We pride ourselves on making handcrafted award-winning beer, producing and delivering 30-40 unique styles of beer per year with national distribution plus a nationally recognised and awarded hospitality operation.
We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our close-knit team as a Brewer. The role requires a highly motivated, vibrant, results-driven individual with at least 2 years of commercial brewing or packaging experience who is ready to take on a key role at our 50hL brewing and bottling facility in Brookvale.
Being a small and growing business, we're look for somebody who shares 4 Pines company values and has a passion for brewing great craft beers. On top of this, the successful candidate will have broad experience spanning both brewing and packaging operations, and will be flexible in their work hours in order to ensure production requirements are met.
Their demonstrated ability/ aptitude will include:
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
- Good knowledge of the brewing process and strong problem solving capabilities
- Responsibility for shift brewing and production requirements, including leading a team of casuals on bottling days
- Supporting the development of 4 Pines' Assistant Brewers
BREWING OPERATIONS
- Daily brewing, cellaring, bottling and racking operations
- Performing quality control and warehousing tasks
- Developing/improving processes and procedures in our 50hL microbrewery
