1. JOB DESCRIPTION: EXPERIENCED BREWER
Young Henrys Brewery is looking for an experienced brewer to join their small team in Metricup, Western Australian. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate brewer with strong commercial experience to be part of an innovative, and dynamic company. Young Henrys is a close knit team and the successful candidate will have drive, a sense of humour, love of good music, and a fascination with of all things craft along with the required skills and experience.
Required Skills & Experience
- Tertiary education in brewing or related sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years commercial experience.
- Ability to efficiently run a brew house maintaining high quality of output.
- Knowledge of effective CIP practice & high standards of sanitation.
- Ability to perform and implement QC tests and procedures.
- Well-developed sensory skills and understanding of beer faults and their causes.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining extremely high standards.
- Experience of earth & sterile filtration.
- Understanding of key quality parameters required to produce high quality beer.
- Willingness to represent the brewery at functions and events.
Preferred Qualities
- A passion for new flavours
- Experience with running a packaging line.
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence and other workplace certificates an advantage
- A love of animals and the country life-style.
Young Henrys Brewery is looking for a Packaging Manager to join their small team in Metricup, Western Australian. Working with the brewing team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the canning line to meet the company's growing requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual with strong commercial experience to be part of an innovative, and dynamic company.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in packaging FMC.
- Technical experience maintaining and operating packaging equipment to include fillers for bottles, labelers, case packers, and other automated packaging equipment.
- A working knowledge of process equipment including: electrical controls, process instrumentation, and programmable logical controls.
- Must have the ability and aptitude to perform advanced electrical, mechanical, and programming troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform and implement QC tests and procedures.
- Well-developed sensory skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining extremely high standards.
- Experience in budgeting, roster management and production scheduling.
Preferred Qualities
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related.
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence and other workplace certificates an advantage
- A love of animals and the country life-style.
