JOB DESCRIPTION: BREWER (VIC)
Hargreaves Hill Brewing Co is seeking applications for the role of brewer in our Lilydale brewery, Victoria. You will be an integral part of a fast growing company. We are seeking a brewer to join our small team and participate in all aspects of brewing operations, from receipt of raw goods to dispatch of finished products.
A passion for craft beer and a knowledge of ingredients and technique are essential. The successful applicant will also be creative in his/her approach, and work with us on our exciting programme of small batch releases.
A hands on brewing role, as a brewer you will insist upon the highest level of brewing hygiene, sanitation and record keeping, as well as occupational health and safety. You will be part of the team that constantly reviews Standard Operating Procedures and implement changes as necessary as part of our continuous improvement program.
We are looking for:
- Commercial brewing experience is an advantage, as is a
- A technical degree with specialisation in brewing sciences
- A strong drive for Quality Assurance, monitoring all areas of brewing operations
- A strong ability of sensory evaluation of beer faults, with an ability to review SOPs and implement improvements as necessary.
A salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant, based on experience, qualification and skill.
JOB DESCRIPTION: CELLAR HAND / PACKAGING BREWER
The role:
Casual/permanent part time, with two to three set days, and with a view to becoming full time within three to six months, based on performance.
Duties Include:
- Packaging – bottling & kegging
- Warehouse & Logistics
- Brewery Cellar operations - General Cleaning, Hygiene & Sanitation
- Quality Control – record keeping, laboratory analysis

- Ability to learn and adapt
- Work well within a small team environment
- Experience and/or education in the brewing industry, or a similar or related industry is preferred
- Worksafe Forklift License is preferred
