With The Crafty Cabal officially launched earlier in the year and a series of follow up launches and events beginning to appear across the country, we're starting fortnightly roundups of what's new here on Crafty, alternating with our regular New Events wraps.
To the uninitiated, the Cabal is the place for people who want to support The Crafty Pint in more ways than simply reading our words and telling their friends about it. Like a community radio station subscriber's scheme, you give us money to improve what we do and in return you get access to a bunch of stuff: free beer, merch and the like at breweries and venues across Australia, invites to exclusive events, awesome monthly prizes and access to ballots for free tickets to major festivals and so on.
Top of the priority list right now are the events and ballots we've got lined up over the coming week.
Queensland Launch Party at The Scratch
There's still time for Cabalistas to register for our June 25 shebang in Brisbane. We'll be pouring Fixation IPA and Newstead's new black lager throughout the afternoon, serving up pizza and handing out mementos to Cabalistas.
Members can bring a mate to drink and eat for free too – simply register in your member's area before next Friday.
Brew Day at The Wheaty
We're joining The Wheaty Brewing Corps on July 8 to create a collaboration beer. And there's three spots for Cabalistas to join us on the day. You can help us make the brew, hang out with the team from one of Australia's best pubs and sample some of the Corps' other wares.
We'll feed and water you and you can return for the three-way tapping a few weeks later, which will be the occasion for our SA Launch Party.
Win 50 Tasting Tokens for Cutty Cellars Beer Fest
We've partnered with Cutty Cellars for its forthcoming Election Day festival and have 400 tasting tokens to give away to Cabal members. There's eight packs of 50 tokens apiece for you to share with a mate.
