Four years on from its original launch, The Crafty Pint has a new look. It's more evolution than revolution, with Crafty Mk II designed to be more contemporary both in appearance and cross-platform functionality and to make better use of the huge amount of content we've generated since September 2010 – as well as the content we'll be creating for you in the future.
In essence, little has changed. You'll still find the latest news from the beer world alongside the freshest beers to hit bars and bottleshops, detailed listings for many of the best breweries and venues in the country (with many more coming your way now the new site is up and running), heaps of beer events, job listings and a range of beer-related features. You'll just be able to find them more easily and do so just as handily on your mobile phone as your desktop.
We've brought the brewery, venue and bottleshop listings to the homepage so that each time you visit there's a chance you'll spot one you've never heard of, rather than having to hunt for them through the site. And you'll find the latest beers presented more prominently on the homepage too as well as more chances to comment on content.
As for features, we'll be stepping up with loads more regular spots, some of which are being dusted down after laying dormant for a while, some of which we always planned to run from day one but never quite got around to it, and some of which are new.
We'll be adding further enhancements to the site over the coming weeks and months (think of this as Crafty Pint 2.0) and unveiling The Crafty Cabal at some point too.
In the meantime, we hope you like what we've done. There may still be the occasional loose thread or rough edge. If there's anything more serious, please let us know at crafty@craftypint.com and our web guru at Peach Creative will get onto it.
