The Latest Listings

It’s not that long since we posted our last roundup of new brewery and venue listings on The Crafty Pint. But it’s been long enough for us to add a few more. And, with another dozen or so lying in the wings, we thought we’d take the opportunity to bring you up to date with the last few in case you missed them when they were added.

Among them are a brewery each from Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria and a handful of venues from Victoria and Tasmania. Look out for more breweries, bottleshops and venues from Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria in the coming weeks too.

Frontbeach – This popular beachfront Torquay cafe, restaurant and bar added craft beer to its offering last year, making it the perfect spot for beer lovers to unwind after a day in the surf.

Grosvenor Hotel – Is Melbourne finally waking up to craft beer south of the Yarra? The Grosvenor Hotel has undergone a transformation in recent months, with beer sales rocketing as the mainstream offerings have been ditched for Aussie craft brewers.

Tattersalls Beer & Food Hall – Having cut his teeth at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda, Grumpy’s Green and The Alehouse Project, Andrew Tynan returned to his hometown of Hobart to add another venue to the city’s burgeoning beer scene.

Royal Hotel-Clifton-Hill – Given it’s home to possibly the greatest density of brewers and beer industry figures, it’s only right that Clifton Hill has good pubs too. And the Royal Hotel is just that – and a shining example for landlords of traditional Melbourne suburban corner pubs of how to make their venues better.

Brother Burger & The Marvellous Brew – A shrine to the twin marvels of burgers and beer in the heart of Fitzroy, with a neat line in quirky dishes, 1950s style shakes and cool decor to boot.

The Grifter Brewing Co – From an invitation to come and brew at Young Henrys to their own tank in the brewery to growlers so popular that many Sydneysiders think they’re actually called grifters, it’s been a whirlwind rise for the Grifter guys.

Nail Brewing – One of WA’s craft beer champions (with a long, long list of trophies to prove it) and now in the process of spreading Nail’s ales all over Australia.

Brookes Brewery – The latest addition to Victoria’s brewing scene is bringing craft beer back to Bendigo, with Doug Brooke turning his back on a life in the airline business to crank out full-flavoured ales and lagers in an abattoir.
