Raise a glass to SixTwelve Brewing’s fourth birthday with The Big Hoss, a limited-release American IIPA. The label refers to an affectionate name given to brewery founder Brad by his friends in USA during his time spent there.
Pouring a pale amber with a gentle haze, this beer is bursting with enticing aromas of pineapple, mango, guava, and orange, all underpinned by a subtle biscuit-like malt base. The brewery went all out using a range of hop pellets and extracts: Cascade, Bru-1, Motueka, Azacca, Citra, Kohia Nelson Hop Kief, Azacca Lupomax, Azacca Abstrax. As you starting drinking you notice a smooth and crisp palate, with soft tropical fruit punch flavours leading the way. A touch of malt sweetness balances a snappy bitterness, keeping the beer clean and refreshing.
With plenty of drinkability, The Big Hoss is a big beer with layered tropical and citrus flavour profile that’s perfect for celebrating.
