Hop Nation Cucumber & Lime Summer Sour

Hop Nation have kicked off the new year much like they finished 2024, with a new sour ready to keep the heat at bay. This time around, their Summer Series ditches the peach for a serving of veggies, with Cucumber & Lime their combo of choice.

Maybe it’s due to this writer’s love of gin and tonics – those being the garnishes of choice – but it’s hard to think of a combination that’s better at beating back the sun’s rays. Try it on any 30-degree-or-hotter afternoon and you’ll instantly be hit by just how refreshingly tart it is; the result of being soured twice, according to Hop Nation’s brewers. The lime, meanwhile, brings further citrus tang and loads of zest, while the cucumber is as present as biting into the gourd as you walk home from the shops (stop staring at me on the street - this is normal behaviour).
