If you're heading to the Central Coast, chances are you'll spend some time in the sun on one of the many beaches in the region. And at the end a hard day's leisure, you'll no doubt want something flavoursome and refreshing to reward yourself. Look no further than the Six String Hefeweizen, a beer built for drinking on a warm summer's day. Made with a 50/50 blend of wheat to barley malts and at 5.2 per cent abv, it's light enough to have a few but packs enough of a flavour punch to stop you from having a few too quickly. You'll want to take your time with it anyway, to savour what's waiting the glass; the banana, clove and bready characters which no good hefe would dare be without. Same goes for that trademark yeasty cloudiness. At 11 IBUs there's not much bitterness to be had, but it's highly carbonated so there's a gentle tartness that only serves to add to the beer's refreshing quality. Like we said, one for those warm summer days.
