Cavalier Courage is one of the great stories of the craft beer world in 2013. It saw Dr Ian Davis, who had discovered he had Motor Neurone Disease, hook up with the brewers of his epiphany craft beer to create a beer that they hoped would raise funds and awareness for research into the disease. It was such a success that pretty much before it had hit shelves it was sold out. Thankfully, with their new brewery up and running and churning out Cavalier beers as the chaps always intended, there's a new batch out and about. Given its prime purpose was to raise funds and awareness, the doctor and the brewers decided it should be a beer with a pretty broad appeal, so went down the golden ale route. But being Cavalier, they ensured it was a golden ale with enough interest for the craft beer world too, meaning some nice soft malt flavours, floral hops and some fruity yeast characters too. A bunch of kegs went out this time too, as well as heaps of boxes, so you've got pretty much zero excuse for not drinking one for a good cause.
