Six Seasons refers to the Noongar calendar that is a guide to seasonal change throughout the Western Australian year. In contrast to the European version, the seasons of Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang are felt or observed in the flowering of plants or activity of animals, which may be shorter or longer depending on the climate of a particular year.
In terms of Six Seasons' inspiration on the beer front, it draws a lineage to the classic farmhouse saison style of Europe. It's a refreshing expression, incorporating classic fruity saison esters, a modern twist in the use of of torrified wheat for added body, and Sorachi Ace hops for a lemony brightness that's welcome in this very clean drinking beer.
