Beerfarm Brown Ale

While many of Beerfarm's beers play a little fast and loose with their respective styles, there is a time for respect and, with two of the brewery's owners having fond memories of their English roots, this Brown Ale plays straight ahead. It's an approach that, in a weird and probably unintended way, still represents the subtle contrarian nature of this bunch of misfits: a core range brown ale is rarity within the Australian beer scene.

Ruby tinged and with a lovely nutty character, the caramel malt infers sweetness alongside a little perceived spice but the beer remains dry and relativity lean, wrapped up with an approachable bitterness.
