It is no secret the Wheaty Brewing Corps team love a collaboration, especially around the time of Good Beer Wheaty. As part of the 2019 mini-fest, the crew from The Bruery in the US jumped into the Thebarton brewery and straight into the hazmat suits, as house culture "The Menace" was once again wheeled out to make something wild and full of unidentifiable bugs. The malt bill was kept simple, with some heavy late Amarillo and Citra hop additions to bring a little something extra. But they weren’t finished there, as a few kilos of quandongs and white pepper also made their way into this creation.
Light orange in colour, the head is bright white with tight knit bubbles. Fresh peach dominates the aroma, where there's also a touch of spiciness, a little yeasty funk and some apricot, while in the flavour department, there's no prominent flavour; instead, the aforementioned meld together with a little lemon zing, before it finishes slightly tart and very dry.
