Cheeky Monkey’s surf break series has quickly become one in which every release is highly sought-after haze for WA's beer lovers. And the arrival of North Point sees no change to that theme.
Working with one of the hottest hops of recent years, Strata, the Vasse team have celebrated the eponymous, and globally renowned, break with a beer possessing a lusciously smooth mouthfeel through which pineapple, OJ, ruby grapefruit, Calypso mango, subtle pine and an artful bitterness bring the goods.
Indeed, bitterness is the key to both structure and appeal here, proving that turbid needn’t equal flabby, especially when a brewer can deliver the level of poise on display here.
