One Drop Brewing Alcoholic Ginger Beer

Ginger beer is delicious. Ginger beer with spice is deliciouser. Ginger beer with spice that lasts well after you’ve swallowed your mouthful is deliciouserer.†

That’s what happens with this ginger beer – the addition of lime and chilli doesn’t bring a flurry of new flavours, but does build upon your perception of the ginger flavour. The right amount of ginger spice slowly evolves into a soft chilli burn that lingers in the throat, without you ever noticing at which point the change happened. I’m assuming the lime contributes to the sweet tang but, again, I couldn’t tell you exactly where it comes in. I just know that I wouldn’t take it out.
