Beer Wicked Elf Endless Summer

Port Macquarie’s location on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales makes it the kind of coastal town that lures visitors all year round. Sure, summer might bring extra warmth, but Port Mac’s weather doesn’t tend to fall away in the same way destinations further south do; even during the year’s coldest days, it can still be worth diving into the ocean if you’re brave enough.

Endless Summer is Wicked Elf’s tribute to that state of mind: a golden drop inspired by the classic Kolsch beers of Germany’s Cologne. It’s a beer that cleaves closely to traditional too, using German hops and malt as well as an ale yeast fermented at cooler temperatures than usual. Even though the style was designed to be enjoyed by the Rhine, here the crisp body, hints of stone fruit and citrus, plus a substantial bitterness for style ensure it’s rightly suited for drying off after a dip in the Pacific. Whether or not that’s in the height of summer or the depths of winter is up to you.
