June 2022 marks yet another busy month for the Rocky Ridge brewers who have dropped four new and entirely different beers for thirsty punters. Two fruited beers feature within the quartet: You Put the Beer in the Coconut is a coconut and finger lime spiked gose – classically light with dominant sweet coconut and punchy lime zest; and the more robust Ma Ma Mango, which comes in a bigger can where sweet, pulpy mango stars alongside subtle oak, pineapple and sweet vanilla. Falling within the “thicc” subcategory of fruited sours, Ma Ma Mango is an opulent treat more suited to sipping and savouring.
The Beach Boys-riffing Wooden’ It Be Nice is an oaked reimagining of their popular Jindong Juicy core range pale, given an added dry hop before resting on oak for six weeks. This approachable but full-flavoured ale features pronounced sweet vanilla underpinned by hop-derived earthiness and impeccable balance.
Stepping things up considerably is Sweet 16, a collab with Mane Liquor to celebrate their 16th year slinging craft beer to the masses. Registering 16 percent ABV and brought to life via 16 ingredients and a 16-hour boil, you end up with a massive imperial stout exhibiting classic characters of bitter cacao and malt sweetness, but also a touch a berry acidity, earth and spice from Tonka beans, plus coconut and sweet lactose.
Forever busy pumping out an array of creative and delicious beers, Rocky Ridge have hit the mark again as we move into the middle of 2022, dropping four more fresh and unique offerings for their loyal fans.
