Hop Nation have kicked off 2023 with a couple of their favourite things: collaborating and IPA. Paradise Valley Hotel can be found in Clematis in the Dandenong Ranges and while some might know it as The Clem, that local’s name doesn’t quite conjure the same mysterious beauty for outsiders. What this beer conjures is a whole lot of Cryo hops, with Centennial, Citra, Chinook and Sabro all added as the hop product.
It’s a mix that brings a classic West Coast combination of grapefruit, pine and an earthiness with all of those joined by more hazy-like notes of tropical fruit, nectarine and coconut. If your idea of a paradise is a lean and bitter finish then you’re in luck - this is a hoppy valley you may never want to leave.
